Welcome to World Clock ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Android application, World Clock (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
🗂️ Information We Collect
World Clock is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data:
1. Information You Provide
- Cities you add to your world clock list (stored locally on your device)
- Alarm settings and configurations (stored locally on your device)
- Personal labels and notes you add to cities (stored locally on your device)
2. Automatically Collected Information (via Google AdMob)
- Advertising ID (used to show relevant ads)
- Device model, OS version, and screen size (for ad rendering)
- Approximate location (country/region level, for ad targeting)
- App usage signals (ad impressions and clicks)
This data is collected by Google LLC through our AdMob integration. We do not directly receive or store this data.
⚙️ How We Use Information
Data collected by the App is used for the following purposes:
- To provide core app functionality: displaying time zones, alarms, sun times, and flight calculations
- To display advertisements through Google AdMob (banner, native, interstitial, and app open ads)
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- To ensure compatibility with your device
We do not use your data for:
- Selling or sharing personal data with third parties (other than AdMob)
- Building user profiles
- Tracking your location precisely
- Marketing communications
💾 Local Data Storage
All user preferences, city lists, alarms, labels, and notes are stored exclusively on your device using Android's Room database (SQLite). This data:
- Never leaves your device (it is not uploaded to any server)
- Is deleted when you uninstall the App
- Can be cleared at any time via Android Settings → Apps → World Clock → Storage → Clear Data
📢 Advertising (Google AdMob)
World Clock uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to deliver personalized ads based on your interests. We display the following ad formats:
- Banner ads (displayed at the bottom of screens)
- Native ads (blended into list content)
- Interstitial ads (shown at natural transition points)
- App open ads (shown at app launch)
Google's use of advertising data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google AdMob Partner Guidelines.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
🌐 Internet Access
The App requests INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions solely for
loading advertisements via AdMob. All clock, sun time, flight calculation, and holiday data is processed
entirely offline on your device. No user data is transmitted over the internet by our App.
🔐 App Permissions
World Clock requests the following Android permissions and their purpose:
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Required for loading AdMob advertisements
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — Re-schedules your alarms after device restart
- SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — Required for precise alarm delivery
- VIBRATE — Used for alarm vibration and gradual wake feature
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Required to show alarm notifications on Android 13+
We do not request camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, or file storage permissions.
👶 Children's Privacy
World Clock is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at toolsappdang@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete such information.
🔒 Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. Since all personal data (cities, alarms, notes) is stored locally on your device, it is protected by Android's built-in application sandboxing. Other apps cannot access World Clock's data without root access.
No data is transmitted to external servers by our App, which eliminates the risk of server-side data breaches.

The App integrates with the following third-party service:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before using the App.
