2. Document and File Access
RTF Reader requires access to files on your device solely to open and display RTF documents that you choose to view. This access is used only for the following purposes:
- Reading and rendering RTF files you select
- Saving your reading preferences (font size, theme, line spacing) locally on your device
- Storing bookmarks, annotations, and reading position data locally on your device
- Maintaining a local history of files you have opened
- Exporting documents to PDF format when you choose to do so
All file data and user preferences are stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. No data is transmitted to external servers or third parties.
3. Data Storage
All data generated by the App, including your reading history, bookmarks, annotations, and preferences, is stored locally on your device. This data is:
- Stored only on your device's local storage
- Never uploaded to any server or cloud service
- Never shared with any third party
- Deleted when you uninstall the App or clear the App's data
4. Internet Access
The App includes the Internet permission in its manifest for potential future use (such as checking for updates). The current version of RTF Reader does not transmit any data over the internet. The App functions fully offline.
5. Third-Party Services
RTF Reader does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks. The App operates entirely independently and does not share data with any external entities.
6. Text-to-Speech
The App uses Android's built-in Text-to-Speech engine to read documents aloud. The text is processed locally on your device by the system's TTS engine. No text content is sent to external servers by our App for this feature.
7. Children's Privacy
RTF Reader does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is safe for users of all ages as it does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
9. Your Rights
Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. All App data is stored locally on your device and is under your full control. You can delete all App data at any time by clearing the App's data through your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
