Welcome to Recommendation Letter Maker ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Android application.

2 Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Recommender profiles: name, title, organisation, contact details, and signature images you enter.
- Candidate profiles: name, qualifications, relationship type, and other details you enter to generate letters.
- Letterhead assets: organisation logo images picked from your device gallery.
- Recommendation letters you create, save, and export.
Automatically Collected Information
- Advertising data: The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may automatically collect device identifiers (Advertising ID), IP address, device type, OS version, and general usage data for ad personalisation and fraud prevention.
- Crash & diagnostics: Anonymous crash reports may be collected by the platform to improve stability. No personally identifiable information is included.
3 How We Use Your Information
- To provide core app functionality: generating, saving, editing, and exporting recommendation letters.
- To display advertisements through Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, and native ads).
- To improve app stability and user experience through anonymous diagnostics.
- To respond to your support inquiries sent to our contact email.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4 Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

5 Data Storage & Security
- Local storage only: All letter content, profiles, and letterhead information remain exclusively on your device in a private application database that other apps cannot access.
- Exports: When you export a letter as a PDF or text file, the file is saved to your device's storage at the location you choose. We have no access to exported files.
- Security: We implement reasonable technical safeguards; however, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device secured with a strong PIN or biometric lock.
6 Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we will promptly delete such information.
7 Your Rights & Choices
- Access & deletion: Since all data is stored locally, you can view, edit, or delete any profile, letter, or letterhead at any time directly within the App. Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data.
- Ad personalisation: You can opt out of personalised ads by going to your device Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalisation".
- Advertising ID reset: You may reset your Advertising ID at any time via device Settings → Google → Ads.
8 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
