1. Introduction

Welcome to Privacy Screen Display ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Android application.

Please read this policy carefully. By downloading or using the App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Privacy Screen Display is designed with your privacy as the top priority. The App operates entirely on your device and does not:

  • Collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any server.
  • Access, read, or record the content of your screen or messages.
  • Collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other identity information.
  • Track your location.
  • Access your camera, microphone, contacts, or media files.
  • Create any user account or require registration.

3. App Permissions and Their Purpose

The App requests only the permissions strictly necessary for its core functionality:

  • Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) — Draws the privacy filter overlay on top of all other applications. No screen content is captured or transmitted.
  • Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE) — Keeps the privacy overlay active while the screen is on, even when you switch apps.
  • Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) — Used exclusively to detect which app is in the foreground so per-app privacy profiles can activate automatically. This data never leaves your device.
  • Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — Shows a persistent notification giving you quick access to stop the filter. Required on Android 13 and above.
  • Internet Access (INTERNET) — Required by the Google AdMob SDK to display advertisements within the App.

4. Advertising — Google AdMob

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect certain data to serve personalised or contextual advertisements, including:

  • Device identifiers (Advertising ID, Android ID)
  • Device type, operating system version, and language settings
  • General location information (country / region, derived from IP address)
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google LLC under their own Privacy Policy. We do not have access to this data. You can review Google's practices and opt out of personalised advertising at:

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at toolsappdang@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete such information.

6. Data Security

All App settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences API and are never transmitted. Because no personal data is collected by us, there is no server-side data at risk.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect any information you provide, remember that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, most data-subject rights (access, correction, deletion) do not apply to data held by us. For data held by Google AdMob, please visit Google's Privacy & Terms pages.

You may uninstall the App at any time. All locally stored settings will be deleted automatically when you uninstall.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on the Google Play Store listing. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will be updated to reflect the date of the latest revision.

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
