Privacy Policy
News Photo Editor · Effective March 17, 2026
Overview
Thank you for using News Photo Editor. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Android application. We are committed to transparency and to respecting your privacy.
By downloading or using News Photo Editor, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
Information We Do Not Collect
News Photo Editor is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not:
- Collect, upload, or store your photos or videos on any server
- Create user accounts or collect personal profile information
- Track your location
- Record audio or access your microphone
- Access your contacts or call logs
- Sell, rent, or trade any data about you
Permissions We Request
The app may request the following Android permissions:
- Camera — to let you take a photo directly within the app as the base image for your news overlay. Photos are processed locally and never uploaded.
- Read/Write External Storage — to open images from your gallery and to save your finished news overlay images and videos to your device. Required on Android 9 and below; on Android 10+ we use scoped storage (no broad storage permission needed).
- Internet — required by Google AdMob to load advertisements and by Google Play Billing to process in-app purchases. No personal image data is transmitted.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
News Photo Editor uses Google AdMob to display advertisements to users who have not purchased the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, including:
- Device identifiers (e.g. Android Advertising ID)
- Approximate location derived from IP address
- App usage information
Google's use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy . You can opt out of personalised ads by adjusting your device settings under Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
Purchasing "Remove Ads" (PRO) completely removes all advertisements from the app.
In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)
The app offers a one-time in-app purchase ("Remove Ads") via Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google. We do not receive, store, or process your credit card number or any payment information. The only data we store locally is a flag indicating whether you have completed the purchase, so the app can remove ads without requiring you to repurchase.
Data Storage & Security
All app data — including your overlay history, saved templates, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Android's standard storage APIs. This data:
- Is never uploaded to any external server by us
- Can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in device settings
- Is subject to your device's own security mechanisms (PIN, biometric lock, encryption)
Children's Privacy
News Photo Editor is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us at toolsappdang@gmail.com and we will take prompt action to delete such information.
Third-Party Services
This app integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob — policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing — play.google.com/about/play-terms
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
