This Privacy Policy describes how INDD Viewer ("we", "us", or "the App") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
INDD Viewer is designed with a privacy-first approach. The App:
- Does not require any storage permissions. File access is handled exclusively through the Android Storage Access Framework (SAF), meaning we never have broad access to your device storage.
- Does not collect, store, or transmit your personal files, documents, or any file content you open within the App.
- Does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
- Does not require account creation or login.
- Does not track your location.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party:
- Recent Files: A list of recently opened file names and URIs for your convenience.
- Bookmarks: Files you have bookmarked/favorited for quick access.
- File Notes: Any text notes you attach to files.
- Theme Preference: Your selected theme mode (light, dark, or system).
- Purchase Status: Whether you have purchased the ad-free upgrade.
You can clear this data at any time by clearing the App's data through your device's Settings or by uninstalling the App.
3. Advertising
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob to support free access to the App. AdMob may collect and use certain information to serve relevant ads. This may include:
- Device identifiers (such as advertising ID)
- IP address
- General device information (device model, operating system version)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
Google AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's ad settings or by purchasing the ad-free upgrade within the App, which removes all advertisements.
4. In-App Purchases
The App offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove all advertisements. This transaction is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. All purchase-related data is handled by Google Play in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
Google AdMob
Used for displaying advertisements (banner, interstitial, app open, and native ads). AdMob may collect device and usage data as described in Section 3.
Google Play Billing
Used for processing in-app purchases. All payment data is handled by Google Play.
We do not use any analytics services, crash reporting tools, or other third-party tracking services beyond those listed above.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at the email address below, and we will take appropriate action.
7. Data Security
Since we do not collect or transmit personal data, the risk of data breach from our end is minimal. All locally stored data (recent files, bookmarks, notes, preferences) remains on your device and is protected by your device's built-in security features.
8. Permissions
The App requests the following permissions:
- INTERNET: Required to load and display advertisements.
- BILLING: Required for processing in-app purchases through Google Play.
The App does not request any storage, camera, microphone, contacts, or location permissions.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
