Privacy Policy

HTML Code Editor  ·  Effective Date: March 22, 2026

Introduction

Welcome to HTML Code Editor ("the App"), developed and maintained by the developer reachable at toolsappdang@gmail.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree, please uninstall the App.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files you create or open within the App. These files are stored exclusively on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
  • Recent file paths stored locally in the App's private SharedPreferences storage.

Information collected automatically:

  • Advertising data — The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (Advertising ID), IP address, general location, and usage signals to serve relevant ads. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Crash & diagnostic data — Android and Google Play may collect anonymised crash reports to help improve stability. We do not have access to personally identifiable information from these reports.
We do not collect: your name, email address, passwords, location, contacts, camera data, or any content of your code files.

How We Use Information

  • To operate and improve the App's features and user experience.
  • To display advertisements via Google AdMob that help keep the App free.
  • To diagnose and fix technical issues through anonymised crash reports.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as described in this policy (i.e. Google AdMob for advertising purposes).

Advertising & Third-Party Services

The App is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve personalised or contextual advertisements.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by:

  • Opening your device Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
  • Resetting your device Advertising ID.

For more information, visit Google Ads Help.

Data Storage & Security

All files and preferences are stored locally on your device using Android's Storage Access Framework (SAF) and SharedPreferences. We do not operate cloud servers or databases for this App.

We implement standard Android security practices, including scoped storage access. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a secure device passcode or screen lock.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us at toolsappdang@gmail.com and we will promptly take steps to remove that information.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Opt out of personalised advertising (see Section 4).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Since all code files are stored only on your device, you can delete them at any time by uninstalling the App or using Android's App Storage settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
