1. Information We Collect
Font Maker: Handwriting to TTF is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
- Your font projects, drawn characters, or exported files
- Your location data
- Your contacts, camera images, or microphone audio
- Usage analytics or crash reports (beyond what is provided by the Android platform itself)
2. Data Stored on Your Device
All font projects, glyph drawings, and settings are saved locally on your device using standard Android storage (SharedPreferences and internal app storage). This data never leaves your device and is only accessible by Font Maker: Handwriting to TTF. It is deleted when you uninstall the app.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Font Maker: Handwriting to TTF displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain information to show you relevant ads, including:
- Advertising ID (a resettable device identifier)
- IP address (used to determine approximate location for ad targeting)
- Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. Google's use of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Font Maker: Handwriting to TTF uses the following AdMob ad formats: banner ads, interstitial ads, native ads, and app open ads.
4. ML Kit Digital Ink Recognition
The app uses Google ML Kit Digital Ink Recognition to optionally confirm the character you are drawing. Ink recognition runs entirely on-device after the language model has been downloaded. No handwriting data is sent to Google's servers during recognition. The model download itself is a standard network request to Google's model servers and is subject to Google's standard network privacy practices.
5. Internet Permission
Font Maker: Handwriting to TTF requests the INTERNET permission solely for:
- Downloading the ML Kit handwriting recognition model (one-time, ~20 MB)
- Loading and displaying advertisements via Google AdMob
No other network communication takes place.
6. Children's Privacy
Font Maker: Handwriting to TTF does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app does not target children and is intended for general audiences. Because AdMob is enabled, parents should be aware that advertisements may be displayed within the app.
7. Third-Party Links
Advertisements displayed within the app may link to third-party websites or applications. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
8. Data Security
Since Font Maker: Handwriting to TTF stores all user data locally on your device and does not transmit it to any external server, your font projects are as secure as your device itself. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your device's operating system up to date.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
