Welcome to Europass CV Builder ("we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Data You Provide: When you use the App, you may enter personal information such as your name, address, email, phone number, work experience, education history, skills, and other details required to build a CV or cover letter. This information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
Data We Do Not Collect: We do not collect, store, or process any of your personal CV data on external servers. All CV and cover letter data remains exclusively on your device in a local database.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:
- Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the free version of the App. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. For more information, please review Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing: If you purchase the PRO upgrade to remove ads, the transaction is processed by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information. All billing is handled securely by Google. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Permissions
The App requests the following permissions:
- INTERNET: Required for loading advertisements and processing in-app purchases.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check network availability before loading ads.
- BILLING: Required for processing in-app purchases through Google Play.
The App does not request access to your camera, contacts, location, microphone, storage, or any other sensitive device features. File operations (photo selection, PDF saving) are handled through Android's Storage Access Framework, which grants temporary, user-initiated access only.
5. Data Storage and Security
All your CV and cover letter data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database. We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted. We recommend using the JSON export feature to back up your data before uninstalling.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. The only data shared with third parties is the information collected by Google AdMob for advertising purposes, as described in Section 3.
8. Your Rights
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:
- View, edit, or delete any CV or cover letter at any time within the App.
- Export your data as JSON files for backup purposes.
- Clear all data from the Settings screen.
- Uninstall the App to permanently remove all stored data.
9. Ad Preferences
If you prefer not to see personalized ads, you can adjust your ad preferences in your device's Google Settings under "Ads". Alternatively, you can purchase the PRO upgrade to remove all advertisements from the App.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
