DICOM File Viewer is designed to view medical DICOM image files stored locally on your device. We prioritize your privacy and collect minimal information:
a) Information You Provide
The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
b) Automatically Collected Information
We do not collect or transmit any personal data, medical data, health information, or DICOM file contents to any server. All DICOM files are processed and viewed locally on your device.
c) Advertising Data
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect certain information automatically, including:
- Device information (device model, operating system version)
- Advertising ID
- IP address
- App usage data and interaction with ads
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
2. Device Permissions
The App may request the following permissions to function properly:
- Storage Access: To read and display DICOM files stored on your device.
- Internet Access: To display advertisements and to download DICOM files from cloud links (Google Drive, Dropbox, or direct URLs) when you choose to do so.
These permissions are used solely for the stated purposes and are not used to collect or transmit personal or medical data.
3. Medical Data and HIPAA
DICOM File Viewer is a file viewing tool and is not intended for clinical diagnosis. All medical image data, including patient information embedded in DICOM files, remains on your device and is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared by the App. We do not store, process, or have access to any medical or health data.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: Used for displaying banner, interstitial, native, and app open advertisements. AdMob may use cookies and device identifiers for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. For more details, visit Google Ads Policies.
- Google Play Services: Required for AdMob functionality and general app operations.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. The only data shared is through Google AdMob as described above, which is governed by Google's own privacy policies.
6. Data Security
Since the App processes all data locally on your device and does not transmit personal or medical data to any server, your data security depends on your device's security measures. We recommend keeping your device's operating system and the App updated to the latest version.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The advertisements displayed through Google AdMob comply with Google's policies regarding child-directed content.
8. Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. For data collected by Google AdMob, please refer to Google's privacy tools and settings to manage your data preferences.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
