1.2 Files You Select
When you select CBR or CBZ files for conversion, these files are processed entirely on your device. No file data is uploaded to any server. Converted PDF files are saved locally on your device and are never transmitted externally.
1.3 Advertising Data
Our App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect certain information to serve ads, including:
- Device advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID)
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- General location (country/region level, not precise location)
- App usage data (such as session duration)
- IP address (used by Google for approximate location and fraud prevention)
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
1.4 GDPR/UMP Consent
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, we implement Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent for personalized advertising. You may choose to:
- Accept personalized ads (ads based on your interests)
- Opt for non-personalized ads only
You can change your consent preferences at any time through the App's settings.
2. How We Use Information
The App processes your files solely for the purpose of converting CBR/CBZ comic archives to PDF format. Specifically:
- Files are read from your device storage when you select them
- Image extraction and PDF conversion happen entirely on your device
- OCR text recognition (when enabled) is performed on-device using Google ML Kit
- Converted files are saved to your device's local storage
- Conversion history and statistics are stored locally on your device
3. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services:
3.1 Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements (banner ads, native ads, interstitial ads, and app open ads). AdMob may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads. For more information, visit How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
3.2 Google ML Kit
When OCR is enabled, the App uses Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition. ML Kit processes images entirely on your device and does not send image data to Google servers.
4. Data Storage and Security
All app data, including conversion history, settings, and converted files, is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your data. Your files remain under your control at all times.
- Conversion records are stored in the App's internal storage
- You can delete any converted file or clear all history from within the App
- Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The advertisements shown in the App are configured to comply with applicable regulations regarding ads shown to minors.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: You can view all your conversion history within the App
- Deletion: You can delete individual records or clear all data from the App
- Opt-out of personalized ads: You can change your ad preferences in the App's settings or reset your Google Advertising ID through your device settings
- Data portability: Your converted PDF files are standard files that you can freely copy, share, or move
7. Permissions
The App requests the following permissions:
- Internet Access: Required for displaying advertisements and loading ad content
- Network State: Used to check connectivity before loading advertisements
- Notifications: To inform you when a conversion is complete (optional, you can deny this permission)
The App uses Android's Storage Access Framework (SAF) to access files you explicitly select. No broad storage permissions are required.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device, data retention is entirely under your control. You may delete conversion records, converted files, or uninstall the App at any time to remove all associated data.
