BlueMesh: Bluetooth Chat & Text (“the App”) is built to facilitate local, internet-free communication. We value your privacy and do not collect or store your personal data on external servers.
2. Mesh Data Handling
All messages, calls, and files are transmitted directly between devices via Bluetooth. We do not have access to your private conversations. In Mesh mode, encrypted data may pass through intermediate nodes to reach a destination; however, these nodes cannot decrypt or read the content.
3. Android Permissions
- BLUETOOTH_CONNECT / SCAN – Required to establish local links.
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / AUDIO / VIDEO – Required to share files from your device.
- CAMERA / RECORD_AUDIO – Required for real-time calls and voice clips.
- READ_CONTACTS – Optional; used for sharing contact cards within the app.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CONNECTED_DEVICE – Maintains connection for background alerts.
- WAKE_LOCK – Prevents device sleep from interrupting active file transfers.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party APIs for GIF searching. These services may collect technical identifiers (like IP addresses) only when the user is connected to the internet to perform a search.
5. Data Security
Communication is peer-to-peer. While we utilize Bluetooth encryption protocols, we recommend using the app in trusted environments for highly sensitive information.
