This Privacy Policy describes how Archive Extractor ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Archive Extractor is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, including but not limited to:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Location data
- Device identifiers or unique IDs
- Files, file names, or file contents
- Browsing history or usage analytics
- Passwords entered for encrypted archives
2. File Access
Archive Extractor uses Android's Storage Access Framework (SAF) to access files on your device. This means:
- The App can only access files that you explicitly select through the system file picker.
- The App does not request broad storage permissions.
- The App does not scan, index, or browse your device's files in the background.
- All file processing (extraction, compression) is performed entirely on your device. No files are uploaded to any server.
3. Local Data Storage
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Extraction History: A record of previously extracted archives (file names, dates, and sizes) stored in a local database for your convenience. This data never leaves your device.
- App Preferences: Your settings such as theme preference and sort order, stored in local shared preferences.
- Purchase Status: A local flag indicating whether you have purchased the Pro upgrade to remove ads.
You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clearing the App's data through your device's Settings.
4. Advertising
The free version of Archive Extractor displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and use certain data in accordance with Google's privacy policy, including:
- Advertising ID
- Device information (model, OS version)
- General location (based on IP address)
- Ad interaction data
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's settings under "Ads" or "Privacy". You may also remove all ads entirely by purchasing the Pro upgrade within the App.

5. In-App Purchases
Archive Extractor offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:

7. Children's Privacy
Archive Extractor is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The App contains advertisements which are not targeted at children.
8. Data Security
Since we do not collect or transmit personal data, there is minimal risk of data breach from our end. All file operations are performed locally on your device. We recommend keeping your device's operating system updated to ensure the best security.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
