This Privacy Policy describes how ComicRead: CBR CBZ Viewer ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Information We Collect
ComicRead: CBR CBZ Viewer is designed with your privacy in mind. The App operates primarily offline and does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information.
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Contact information
- User-generated content
- Browsing history or search queries
Local Data Storage
All data related to your comic library — including reading progress, bookmarks, favorites, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to any server or third party. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data will be removed.
File Access
The App uses Android's Storage Access Framework to let you choose comic book files from your device. The App only accesses files that you explicitly select through the system file picker. We do not scan or access any other files on your device.
Advertising
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and use certain information to serve relevant ads. This may include:
- Device information (device type, operating system version)
- Advertising identifiers
- General location data (based on IP address)
- App usage data related to ad interactions
Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings under Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

The App uses the following third-party services:

Since the App stores all user data locally on your device and does not transmit personal data to external servers, the security of your data depends on your device's security measures. We recommend using device-level security features such as screen locks and encryption.
